FOOD/AUTISTIC CHILD/NUTRITIONAL HEALTH/ALLERGYS/ECZEMA

LAPSAKY Organic Cotton Clothes  :: FOOD/AUTISTIC CHILD/NUTRITIONAL HEALTH/ALLERGYS/ECZEMA

FOOD/AUTISTIC CHILD/NUTRITIONAL HEALTH/ALLERGYS/ECZEMA
For Your Information:  I have an autistic great nephew, age 3.  He has been on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet (SCD) since he was about 6 months old.  Recently, because the SCD is fairly limited and requires a lot of home cooking/baking, his parents took him off the diet temporarily to see if it really made a difference.  Well. long story short, the difference was HUGE, and they put him back on the diet immediately.  This is a message to any parents out there who have an autistic child to look to this diet as significant in their child's overall well being.

I have also become aware through my customers at the increase in eczema in children.  It is most commonly triggered by diet (food allergies such as dairy, wheat, soy, nuts, etc.), or other allergies (soap and detergent, fragrances, household chemicals, etc.).   Also the overgrowth of candida yeast in the intestines can trigger eczema, which can be passed from mother to child during birth and nursing.

Clothing your child in organic cotton can certainly reduce the symptoms, but it will not remove the problem.  Go to a reputable homeopathic or holistic doctor to find the cause and remove the problem.

I am also a person with immune system diet issues (Celiac Sprue-also known as gluten intolerance), so I am well acquainted with how what we eat can have significant impact on who we are. If you have a child with any kind of health issues, minor or big, I urge you to look carefully at the foods you offer them.  Eating out at restaurants is almost impossible, and when you look at the quality of what you get there, it's not surprising.

My most sincere message is that you get back into your own kitchen, and sit down at the table with your family at least once a day for a truly healthy, well planned meal you can be sure will enhance your whole family's health.

If you have questions or concerns, or want more information on resources, please send me an email and I'll be happy to share with you what I have learned and live by.
